World Cerebral Palsy Day

It's World CP Day on the 6th of October. In honorof Wold Cerebral Palsy Day, I created a poster to put up around my college to raise more awareness. On CP Day, you wear green. Why Wear Green? Thousands of people wear green on the October the 6th each year to support Cerebral Palsy awareness. Did you know that more boys are diagnosed with CP than girls?

Cerebral Palsy can manifest in lots of different ways, and the effects of Cerebral Palsy can range from minimal to profound, depending on the extent of the brain damage...

There are about 17 million people living with CP worldwide! There needs to be a lot more understanding of CP because a lot of people think having CP is the same for everyone, but it's not as simple as one size fits all. CP varies a huge amount from person to person; even if two people have the same type, you will find differences between them. So, this is why I want you to wear green and explain why.

This is the poster I created and put up around my college. The staff were amazingly supportive, and they even put an email out to everyone that has connections with the college.

Thanks to everyone who has supported me.

See you next time, don't forget to wear green
