Cerebral Palsy Awareness 2020

March is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month, yet not enough people know it is. I'm challenging you to tell one person each day about CP Awareness Month. That will be 31 more people who are aware, which will be awesome, won't it?

Don't forget to use Cerebral Palsy hashtags to tell us what you're doing to raise awareness! You can use these and lots more: #CerebralPalsy #CP #CerebralPalsyAwareness #Disability

You can wear green to show your support, like we're doing here!

Why not join in?

About 1 in 500 babies develop Cerebral Palsy in early childhood, and this means that these babies grow up with Cerebral Palsy as it is a life-long disability. There are many types of Cerebral Palsy, too many to count!

There is no known cure for Cerebral Palsy, but there are treatments to help the symptoms of CP. Symptoms vary from person to person, and even though two people may have the same type of CP, the chances are that they will be affected differently.

Some people think that having Cerebral Palsy defines a person, but it doesn't. Cerebral Palsy may put obstacles in people's way, but we can find a way around them.

Society thinks that we can't do much, and therefore it doesn't do much to help us, but if we can show them what we can do, then they might start believing that we can do things and maybe they'll want to help and treat us better.

So, what will you do to raise awareness this March?
