On Friday 28th June, I visited HMS Warrior, the World’s first Iron Clad ship, at the Portsmouth Dockyard. I haven’t got much to say about it because I was only able to get onto the main deck and for this reason there wasn’t much for me to see or interact with.

When I was about to get on HMS Warrior, I was greeted by a member of staff who was extremely polite, I was really impressed with the way she...

On the 14 June, I visited the Explosion Museum. Like the Submarine Museum, Explosion is based in Gosport, but it is a part of the Portsmouth Historical Dockyards.

In the Explosion Museum itself, there were lots of different sections. Explosion was great in the sense that there was a lot of space to manoeuvre.

In most of the rooms, the information boards were at a good height for me to read. However,...

On the 17th of May, I went to the Portsmouth Dockyard again. This time I visited the galleries. The first gallery that I visited was called Nelson Gallery. The Nelson Gallery was brilliant because it was spacious and there is lots of space to manoeuvre around, and it is wheelchair accessible.

I am pleased to say that most of the attractions were at a perfect height for me... I could see the whole o...

On Friday, the 26th of April, I visited the Submarine Museum in Gosport. Even though this is in Gosport, it is a part of the Portsmouth Dockyard. When I arrived, I gave the receptionist the tickets. The staff at the museum were excellent because they spoke to me directly in a welcoming manner, which helped me relax. In fact, all of the staff were brilliant! They arranged for a guide to take me aro...

On Friday, the 15 of February I went to Action Stations at the Portsmouth Dockyard. I was let in through the accessible entrance straight away, which was good. First of all, I lined up to get my tickets swiped so I was able to get in. I had great customer service at the main desk, the woman who was working on the desk was fantastic because she spoke to me directly in a welcoming manner. She gave m...

Hey everyone, it’s time for another addition of the Portsmouth Dockyard series…  I have a confession to make - I made a mistake in my last blog post about the Dockyard; I accidently said that I went to the Jutland Gallery, when in fact it was called the Victory Gallery. So, sorry about that. I edited the post on my website, but unfortunately, I won’t be able to edit Social Media previews.

Anyway, l...

Welcome back to my Portsmouth Dockyard series. On Friday the 14th of December 2018, I went to the Victory Gallery (I was going to go to the M33, but it doesn’t open until 11:30 AM), so instead of hanging around waiting for it to open, I decided to go to Victory Gallery.

Inside the gallery, there was lots of space for people with mobility aids, such as wheelchairs and walking frames. The gallery is...

Welcome back (welcome all new viewers). Over the next few months, I'm going to write a series of blog posts about the accessibility at the Portsmouth Dockyard, I will write one for every attraction I visit. On the 16th of November, I looked at the accessibility on the HMS Victory ship, and around the Dockyard and this is my review below...

The people who work there were very kind and let me in to a...
