My mum and I are taking part in Memory Walk 2016 for Alzheimer's Society because we want a world without dementia.
The Alzheimer's Society have already been an enormous help to my Granny, Granddad, and to us all as a family, giving information, helping with legalities and financial advice. Please help us raise money, so that the Alzheimer's Society can continue to help those affected, and continue to research to find a way to stop this horrific disease.
Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year – that’s the equivalent to one person every three minutes. This September and October Memory Walks will be taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia. Arm in arm, step by step and pound by pound, we will get there. Once you donate, Just Giving will send your money directly to the Alzheimer's Society. So it’s the most efficient way to raise money – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
It is not easy for me to say this, but my Granddad may not know me when I next visit. Please dig deep and help us walk for a world without dementia.
