New Beginnings

Hi everyone, happy New Year! How are you?

In this post, I am going to reflect on some of last year's events and talk about why new beginnings are so important. Before I start, I have some really exciting news to tell you! You know Brains on Wheels has a Facebook page? Well, in November or December, I set myself a target to get 1k followers on Brains on Wheels' Facebook page... To my astonishment, I made it to 1k on the 27th of December 2017! This is a huge achievement!

Right, we all have new beginnings in our lives... At the beginning of December, last year, unfortunately the Our Life With Cerebral Palsy project was postponed because neither Amber, Faith or I are able to find time to keep it running at the moment. Although we loved running it, we couldn't carry on as we have other things to concentrate on now. It was sad to let it go, but I think it was the best decision for all of us.

Last year was a roller coaster of events, some high, some low. Every good day lifted my spirits. but every bad day made me stronger! The strength I have in me doesn't want to be found sometimes, but when it is found, it is like a breath of fresh air! Last year, I learned a huge amount about myself, some things that I never dreamed of doing. I am pretty sure that my best memories from last year were in July when I went to London for the weekend to watch the Para Athletics World Championships! You can read about this here

If I made New Year's resolutions, I think I'd end up breaking them anyway, so I don't think I'm going to bother, I just need to take one day at a time. (Sorry to disappoint). My main focuses for 2018 is to get my English GCSE.

Anyway, I hope you had a great 2017, and I hope you have a healthy 2018, and I hope that this year brings you lots of happiness.

Bye for now.
