Hello once again, today I am going to talk about computer games and how they could be modified to make it easier for disabled people to play them. A while ago, I read an article about a young man who wrote to the company, "Sony" explaining his difficulties with using the PlayStation controller due to his Cerebral Palsy. Read more:
I am really in to a game called "Minecraft", and that’s a game that you can build anything and everything, you can let your imagination go wild when you play this game. There are no limits to this particular game. Everything in Minecraft is 3 dimensional, even the clouds are 3D which I think is really cool!
There's one aspect of this game that isn't so good, in Minecraft, there is something called "Creative Mode", when you are in Creative Mode, you have the ability to fly. The flying isn't a problem as such, but to get into the air, you have to tap the space bar twice within a short amount time. I find this really difficult because I can't double tap things easily, most of the time, I have to tense my muscles in my foot and wait for a spasm, I know this can't be good for me but it works, I can sometimes do it with both of my feet, but I can't all of the time. I think Mojang, the developers of Minecraft should try to edit the program to try and make a setting to enable players to delay the double tap time.
As always, thanks for reading and until next time, bye bye.
