Things Never to Say To or In Front of a Disabled Person

In my opinion, there are certain things that you should never say in the presence of a person with a disability. Now, it depends on the type of person, of course, but I don't like it when people use the word "spastic" or "spaz", anything like that to insult a person. It annoys me, it even makes me upset to an extent because you're saying it as an insult, I think that some people say it without thinking. Did you know that spastic is a type of Cerebral Palsy?

I think the word "retard" is offensive as well because it is usually used to describe a person who has some sort of intellectual disability in a derogatory way.

I wonder how this all started, who knows? However it started, we need to end it now!

I would really like you to get involved, so head over to my Contact Me page to find out how.

Thank you for reading, and have a lovely Christmas.
