Para Athletics World Championships

Hello guys, I got back from London at around two o'clock Monday morning. My mum and I were in London watching the Para Athletics all weekend! This was a Christmas present from my mum and dad. The whole weekend was absolutely phenomenal, we saw Jonnie Peacock, Richard Whitehead and Hannah Cockroft... I actually met Hannah Cockroft! I never imagined that I would meet a Paralympion! It was amazing!

Hannah Cockroft and Ailsa. Ailsa is wearing a red Union Jack t-shirt, Hannah Cockroft is wearing a blue t-shirt with the 'Nike' logo at the left, and 'GREAT BRITTAIN' written at the top right (Both white). Purple wall straight behind us. 'London 2017' and 'Be The Next' banners at the left.

This area was called Hero's Village.

This is where the athletes received their medals.

Meddle stage. Purple border along the bottem, with rainbow wave. "WORLD Para Athletics CHAMPIONSHIPS TM" written at the right. "London 2017" in bigger text under that. "SEE THE BEST" to the left of the stage, and "#BE THE NEXT" at the right. Two smartly dressed woman in suites at each side of the stage. Woman furthest right is holding a tray with meddals. Three athleets on the podium
Meddle stage. Two athetes in the middle with their meddles. Man in purple t-shirt walking towards the centre of the stage.
Sitting area infront of the stage in Hero's Village. Three children sitting on the ground, people sitting behind the children. People standing at the right hand side. Olympic Stadiem behinde. Dark clouds in the sky.
London 2017 Para Athletics mascot, "Whizbee". Little Mix's "Wings" lyrics on screen behind.
Three athleets on the podium. One woman in a suite at the left, four people in suites at the right.

The Olympic Park is massive, it didn't look that big on the telly, I knew it was big, but I didn't expect it to be *that* big!

Ailsa and her mum sat infront of the action

On Saturday, the atmosphere was just breathtaking! Sunday was good as well, but I think the atmosphere was better on Saturday. When we arrived on Saturday, the Brazilian team were sat in our seats, and we had to ask them to move.

There were long jumpers (our seats were up high, and I didn't realise how long the sand pit was because it looked much shorter from where we were).

This was actually red but the photo came out pink.

Helter scelter (known as the "Orbit" lit up in red at night

When the athletes were lined up ready to start their races, some of the pistols were louder than others. I didn't know what they were at first, so I was a bit worried, but my mum told me that the louder pistols were to tell the athletes to stop because one athlete started too early, which is called a "false start". They made me jump out of my skin, so goodness only knows how the Parlympions felt like!

Words can't describe this incredible experience, and I'm not joking! I loved it!

Bye for now.
