I'm Not a Bad Person Just Because I Don't Give Out Personal Information
I don't give out personal information to anyone I don't know, it doesn't matter how kind people seem, I just don't do it.
Yesterday, I was asked to send a photo of myself in messenger by a complete stranger, and then I was asked where I live. So I said no. When I said no, this person replied with "its people like you that give disabled people a really bad name".
Number one: You can't expect me to trust you just because you send me a photo and you claim to be that person in the photo... You should not be asking people you don't know to send photos anyway. I could have been a child for all you know, and asking a child for photos is wrong.
Number two: How do I give disabled people a bad name? I only declined to send a stranger my information; I am entitled to say no, especially when I don't know the person. It's common sense, I don't know if you're who you say you are. For all I know, you could be someone who sells people's information, or worse. I try to eliminate stigma, not encourage it!
So do not tell me that I give disabled people a bad name!
Sorry about that rant, I just felt that I needed to get that out because I am not having people tell me things like that.
Remember, do not give out personal information to anyone online, and that includes photos.
Bye for now.
